What is custom consumer research?
Custom consumer research means you write the questions and we supply everything else: 170M+ verified consumers across 130+ markets, screened to your criteria, quality-checked, and turned into a complete report with cross-tabs, personas and written analysis. Paste an existing survey, import one, or start from a draft, with live help on wording and bias throughout. From $990, back in 24 to 72 hours.
How much does custom consumer research cost?
From $990. Four things move the price: sample size, how hard your audience is to reach, questionnaire length, and how many markets you run in. The price updates as you change any of them, so you see the trade-offs while you're making them rather than after a quote comes back.
Do I need research experience?
No. You need to know what you want to find out - that's the hard
part, and it's the part you already have. Turning it into a
questionnaire that doesn't accidentally lead people is what the live
help is for.
Where does all this actually happen?
In your own workspace. You build the survey, set the audience, see the price and launch it there, and the finished report lands in the same place - alongside every other study you've run. Nothing gets emailed back and forth, and there's no version anybody has to reconcile.
Can you help me write the questions?
Yes, at two levels. Guidance while you build it is included. If you
want someone to sit down and write it with you, that's an add-on -
and if you'd rather hand over the whole thing, We Handle Everything
is the better route.
Is there a minimum sample size?
Yes, and it depends on your audience - a national sample and a
narrow qualified one don't need the same numbers to hold up. The
minimum for what you've specified is shown as you build the order,
along with what it costs, so you can't accidentally under-order.
How long can my survey be?
Longer than most people need. Length is one of the four things that
drives the price and the timeline, so you'll see both move as you
add questions. Worth knowing: response quality drops on very long
questionnaires, so we'll flag it if yours is getting there.
What drives the price?
Four things: how many people you need, how hard they are to find,
how long the questionnaire is, and how many markets you're running
in. The price updates as you change any of them, so you see the
trade-offs while you're making them rather than after a quote comes
back.
Can I run the same survey in several markets?
Yes, in one order, with the same questionnaire throughout - which is
what makes the results comparable across them. Each market is priced
and sized separately, because an audience that's easy to reach in
one country can be hard to reach in another.
What audience criteria can I set?
Any combination of geography, demographics and behaviour - including
category usage and purchase history. Broad enough for a national
sample, specific enough for people who bought in your category last
month.
What comes included by default?
The full report - introduction, market context, question-by-question
results with cross-tabs, personas, and a written summary - plus a
quality assurance review and the raw data export. Exports to
PowerPoint, PDF and Excel come as standard.
Why does delivery time vary?
Because a hard-to-reach audience takes longer to fill properly, and
the alternative to taking longer is a worse sample. A broad audience
comes back in 24 hours. A narrow one takes several days. You'll see
the estimate before you launch, not after.
How is this different from a survey tool I could use myself?
A survey tool gives you a form and leaves you to find people to fill
it in, then hands back a spreadsheet. Here the audience is sourced,
screened and quality-checked for you, and what comes back is a
finished report rather than raw responses. That's the difference between a survey tool and custom consumer research.
What format do I receive the results in?
A structured report you can read online, plus PowerPoint, PDF and
Excel exports - ready to share or drop straight into your own deck.
